To the Don at the top who made our town pop.  You know who I’m talking about.

You had visions of grandeur, with a sparkle in your eyes and dreams of gummy drops.

Sold our souls out with your looks and your clout, never thinking that dead bones could rise.

You treated us like nothing, like the bottom of your shoes, but man did God have a surprise.

Some were good men and women with their backs against the wall who took 30 pieces of silver.

Little did they know that your obsession would grow, like the unfortunate plot of a thriller.

One by one, you had your “fun” while letting the outsiders in.

They fell prey to your charm and became overwhelmed by 6 of your 7 deadly sins.

Well, you left us alone with cares of our own and so much heart ache and grief.

There’s not much more we can do but pray for you and solute while we hail to the thief.
